From a young age I tend to constantly interpret and relate to the world non-verbally, I may notice a jagged edge which turns sharp too aggressively or a gentle flowing stream that instills a sense of deep cool and peaceful calm. Growing up I always seem to take in and notice these subtle details especially if it evokes a feeling.
Having been trained as an architect, the profession has brought me all over the world including New York, Mexico, United Kingdom, Shanghai and Tokyo, to work, travel and experience. Even in the built environment each culture seemed to have a certain way of feeling, living, loving. Now, jewelry is my way to create objects that hold a certain feeling.
I believe that its form, lines, and surfaces can express itself as a way for us to relate to our own emotions as well as impressions we’d like to express to others.
I hope that pieces from Ardour Studio, would instill a deeply relatable feeling in you when you wear it and that it can help you express yourself through its sculptural forms, colours and surfaces. I am excited for us to journey through this path together.
